Raise up the Feed and water
Mount the feed and water bowls on the fence, or just get them up higher than he can pee.
Try Diamond premium adult dog food (green and yellow bag). I feed it year around with good results. Just make sure and hunt often, or else dog gets fat.

also don, worm him with valbazen, every dog or pup that comes in here the previous owners will usually tell me that they have been wormed on a regular basis. then i ,,,ALWAYS,,, hit them with valbazen for 2 consecutive days,,, 1 cc per 10 lb,,, and the same thing always happens,,,, the worms just come pouring out of them. i have made a believer out of several around here,,,many of them that have been at it for years.
i agree with the above,,, high fat content dog food and double his rations if he will eat it. if he lacks in apetite,,,hear is a little trick i learned from experience,,, use jealousy to get him to eat,,,thats right jealousy,,, works on pups too. if they are worried that another dog is going to eat there food they will usually eat it whether they want it or not. lol,,,this technique has been a major help to me.
another approach on the food bowl is to give him so long to eat and then remove it from kennel or kick it out of reach if he is on a chain. they claim by the time a human does something 25 times it becomes a habit. hopefully the same with dogs.
good luck,,, if all else fails,,,stand in line at walmart for a few hours,, make sure and show up by 7;30 am,,, and get some 22 shells... [at least that is what we are still doing here] courtesy of obama .
I have one here that wasn't thin but was thinner than I'd like, his ribs looked good but hos hip bones stuck out, so I switched to something that listed real meat as the first ingredient, and he changed almost instantly. I now feed Purina pro plan sport, its a tough expensive but if your only feeding it to a dog or two its not to bad. Also, I feed 1/2 of what I used to now and he looks better than before. The sport is 30/20

HAY DON= you get an extention cord
cut off the end that you would plug an inplement in , atach with tape to food pan
plug in wall plug, & stand back & watch
what hapens when pee hits pan
this is whare th Oboma care kicks in
just my opinion dont try ithis at home=ha

I have used Drontal Plus for many years and have had very good luck with it. It is pricy but it is worth it,

feed him
I have seen the same thing in the past. Try this if you have time.
Take him for a short walk before you feed him .I have also had to feed some dogs on the ground because they spill their food and water. Most the time this is a sign that they need more activity. Feeding after you hunt them makes all of those bad habits go away, usually !!

i get it at southern states farm supply, most any farm supply will have it. you will probably not find it in the dog section, but look in the livestock section. it is by far the best product i have ever used.
you usually have to buy it by bulk but it will last you forever it seems. if you have several dogs it will save you a lot of money over the long haul.
Not trying to but in, the med in valbazen is (((Albendazole)))
Albendazole carries a lot of significant possible side effects including lack of appetite, gastrointestinal distress and a serious bone marrow problem called aplastic anemia.
Vets do use it some for Tape worm in dogs but, not often.
Fenbendazole will kill roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, the Common tapeworm.
Side Effect: Some animals experience vomiting/nausea after deworming.
Fenbendazole is considered safe for use in pregnancy in all species.
Treatment is necessary for 3-5 consecutive days for most parasites. Treatment may require a second course depending on which parasite is being treated.

valbazen is like ivomec, if you look at all the negative feed back you can find on ivomec you would be scared to death to use it. i use valbazen as young as 3 days old. what i really like to do is rotate from one quarter to another. valbazen for 2 consecutive days,,, then wait 3 months,,,, panacure for 3 consecutive days,,,, as i rotate i also add a small dose of ivomec at the first of each month. yes,,,worming pregnant females i use panacure,,,but usually she does not need wormed while pregnant is she has been in my normal regimen.
this is an automatic record keeping system
1. small dose of ivomec at the 1st day of each month
2. january 1st,,, 2 day regimen of valbazen
3. april 1st,,,,3 day regimen of panacur
4. july 1st,,,, 2 day regimen of valbazen
5. oct 1st ,,,, 3 day regimen of panacur
6. jan 1st ,,,, 2 day regiman of valbazen
7. when i breed each female, i give her a 7 way shot immediately
with this system there is no need of record keeping and everything is on auto pilot. AND NO,,, i wasn't intelligent enough to figure this all out,,, it came from a vet. this is the only way that you can be close to 100% sure that you keep your dogs worm free.
ps. i do cheat sometimes and use the valbazen in the place of the panacur because my dogs has been on it for ""YEARS"" now with superior results. i guess its also related with my experience of getting pups and dogs in here that have just been wormed,,according to their previous owners,,, and then watch what happens with a dose of valbazen,,,sometimes its nearly unbelievable. maybe this info can help someone,,,just a vets opinion.
THKS EVERYONE FOR YOUR HELP, LOT OF GOOD IDEAS HERE
