new to coonhunting
Looking for some one after summer to possably help with a young redbone female I'm getting so I don't ruin her early. I was just hopeing to have a few people to hunt with and possably build a long freindship with and can teach me a few things about the coon hunting sport and maybe about showing my dog in conpetitions.

Id love to get into the sport I'm droppin a good chunck of change on a dog just want her to be a well rounded dog and not ruined.

You are about4 hours from me, there are quite a few people that hunt out that way. Read the Walk with Wick books, volume 1 and 2. When I got started I didn't know anyone that coon hunted, I read and asked a lot of questions, those books are invaluable to how to start young dogs, and how to avoid mistakes. Especially if you don't have a veteran hunter to explain the do's, don'ts, and whys of it all. Helped me a lot. Gather as much information and decide what is the best way for you. If you feel like making a road trip to SE Va and hunt some swamps, give me a call. Good luck.

started dog
I'd get someone with a little experience to go with you to evaluate your "started" dog before you spend a bunch of money. Lot of people looking to take advantage of a novice. Good luck.
