Allen Todd anyone? Answer this
Could you tell me what rule in the rule book it is under that says in sudden death that you quit at sunrise thank you .
Why do you care? Get to your point. It didnt take until sunrise.
btw this post isnt meant to sound harsh.
I believe that is to comply with state game laws concerning coon hunting, not specifically a U.K.C. rule.
Austin, there is no mention of it in the rulebook. Common sense suggests you should probably quit before 11 am. I don't know without checking LA but some states have certian times of the day that you may or may not hunt. Just to have an official time in place to where one hour interval hunts must be exhausted it makes sense to have our policy be the official time of sunrise, unless otherwise determined by state law. Those involved in the Final Cast were informed of that policy as it is written and was available at the Zones and Finals. Hope this clarifies your question.
I am talking about at a local hunt final four not just the world

? What local hunt have you been at on a Friday or Saturday held by UKC where they had a final four. I don't know of any anywhere that does that in UKC. Only and if only you have for cast winners that come in with the same exact score and they decide to go back out for one hour and decide a winner. That just doesn't happen.
I think you are thinking about PKC. You are getting the two confused.

Well, the UKC hunt rules allow for an hour of "OT" if you are hoplessly deadlocked in a tie...doesn't allow for OT for "no score", but it doesn't expressly "EXCLUDE" it. So a pair of dogs tied at the end of a two hour hunt COULD go back out.....

The mini slams have final fours!
Here in va the worl hunt would end at 2 am on sat night! lol but ur talking suden death an final 4 thats a PKC thing! An in PKC one member of the final 4 can chose to hunt an they also chose to hun t for an hr or 2 hr! Sunden death is when 1 or mor dogs is tied at zero with no minus! so is dog a struck for 100 b for 75 an c for 50 d for 25 an b comes in an draws minus dog a c d contuine to hunt till one dog makes a tree or 2 dogs are minused! There is no time in suden death first dog to tree game over!
