Congrats to Paul Miller and Queen on your registered win and finishing to HB CH.

Congratulations to Melvin and Shane on winning the overall with Money. Even though he was the only Champion in PP Sunday he had to go out and do it right solo to earn his win. Nice dog! he did a good job to earn second in HB on Saturday. Hunted hard and ran good track. Solid hound!

Congratulations to Jay and Bandit! After telling us how much he has improved from the work Brad did with him down at his running pen his win in PP Sunday was good validation that this is one to watch for as he progresses.

Thanks to John for coming down to judge the bench show Saturday!
Thanks to Brad, Vicky, and Steve for coming out to judge both rounds and guide on short notice. At 7am when everyone was there and entered with NO HUNT DIRECTOR OR JUDGES Scott was realy frustrated. Hard to have a quality program with that kind of lack of integrity and commitment from those who had agreed to officiate, then didn't. Made it a frustrating weekend for Scott! His dedication to the program helped him keep at it till all the bases were covered. Way to go Scott!

Excellent weather and quality running spots made it one to remember!

Scott when you called at 7 am I figured something was wrong, It was a shame that your hunt didn't get the support and help it deserved..
I will always pitch in judge or guide if you need. Really enjoyed watching some good dogs run...
Good kitchen as always, congrats to the winners..
Thanks Brad and Steve for showing up when I called on short notice.

I'm not disrespecting or cutting ANYONE down................ Bottum line is Small clubs like the HCBC that own a building , pay land taxes and insurence, not to mention electric, sewer, trash and ground maintanence........CAN NOT survive WITHOUT HELP AND SUPPORT from the locals. With the economy the way it is and being the date was between the 2 world hunts I knew we wouldnt be looking at 100+ dogs but I SURE expected more than 13 reg in HB and 10 in PP. And I SURELY expected A LITTLE support from the locals WE try to support all year.
With all the prizes and trophies we gave not counting what I DONATED, The club came out with approx. $150 LOSS. Thats why I'm just a lil upset
Seems like no one knows what SUPPORT, COMMITMENT, and LOYALTY means anymore, Its ALL ABOUT THE ALL MIGHTY DOLLAR and who can pull off the BIGGEST and MOST hunts. and I'm gettin a lil tired of busting my butt goin to as many local hunts as I can EVEN IF I don't really have a dog ready to win, and offering to guide and or judge to whoever needs me and then trying to hold a quality event and my club gettin burnt for it.
When we lost NHBA days I knew it was going to be tough to survive on the small club hunts, but when we get almost NO support its REAL TOUGH.
I've got some of the greatest members in the state and even though our treasury is at ROCK bottom sometimes, they will NOT hesitate to pull off a benefit for someone in need or something for KIDS where we bust our butts for absolutely NO profit.
Again I'm not disrespecting anyone for running AKC or whatever and Im not cutting on any individual or club, I'm just STATING THE FACTS.
Not sure how much longer the HCBC can survive like this,
So next time we consider ourselves lucky to live in an area where you can go to a beagle hunt almost EVERY weekend and not drive more than 1-2 hrs ....... THINK ABOUT IT.
Without SUPPORT, COMMITMENT & LOYALTY OUR "LUCK" MAY JUST RUN OUT

Sorry Scott, I would have liked to come, but I had to get Keely ready for homecoming and I had to be the chauffer to and from dance. I enjoy going to hunts, but kids gotta come first.

Scott,

I am sure this was a great hunt as yours always are. I am guilty of going to the AKC hunt and regret I could not help judge on sunday. I am sure my knee will heal soon and I will be able to judge again. Thank you for going out of your way to put on a more impressive hunt than the usual. Maybe we should all try and pay more attention when some one goes out of their way to improve things. Please don't let this discourage you because you have had great success in the past and I am sure you will again....

Here's the problem, we all have a different format that we like. If you look at AKC, UKC and ARHA, hunt schelude's, you will see conflicting hunt date's within all registrie's. Here's an example, just this coming weekend, UKC PP World Hunt and ARHA Evertt Morgan Classic both in the same state of Indiana. Some of the same people that run this style of dogs has to make a decision. Also some of these people are judges in both registries. This is the problem we have also with our smaller clubs. Is there a soulotion to problem, I don't really know, maybe the clubs need to get together in their states and look at their perspective hunt date's and try to advert schelding on same date. OK, Wam, Bam, and you can slam Old Thornie, this is just my opion.

No slam from me .Your solution sounds very reasonable. Not going to any trials now,but may hit some next year.

Yes Mitch you are correct about Scott. He doe's a wonderful job with putting on hunts and we all need to support Scott, his club. Like Thornie said the scheduling of these hunts sometime are scheduled on the same days. There are some folks that have priorities, their obligations to there own club so they haft to chose what is the right thing to do or where to go. I could not go to Scott's hunt because my mother is in the hospital and i was needed there. Candy was having puppies and i was needed there. Scott has some of the best hunts and prizes, I will continue to go to his hunts and judge when needed. Sometimes family and priorities come frist so Scott I can understand your disappointment and I ask that you continue to keep having your hunts. Sorry I couldn't make it to the hunt. Thanks, Jim
