this kill season.. hunt with other dogs... tie him back, shoot the coon out let the other dogs have... a coupel nights of this and he will be vocal on the tree.

I had this problem with a redbone male. I got some bloodworths ear remedy and after a week or so he was treeing good. VERY tight mouthed on track but it helped that also a little. He shook his head quite a bit though so I knew something was bothering him.

PUT A WIRE MUZZLE ON IT WHERE IT CAN STILL BARK, DRINK, ETC, JUST CANNOT GET IT'S MOUTH ON THE TREE TO CHEW. IF HE CANT CHEW HE WILL PROBABLY BARK MORE.

Years ago I had a redbone that wouldnt bark at the tree. He would locate and just stand there looking up till I found him. This went on for the first kill season. The second year he started treeing a little and by the kill season was a #1 coon hound. He went on to be the best coondog I have ever owned before or since. I ran a cow bell on him and it would tingle when he looked from the tree to me and back so I could find him.
