whats your thoughts
should people that own mutiple dogsbe allowed to enter them in one hunt knowing they more than likely draw out together we seem to be having that problem at a couple of our clubs the numbers are down and they know if they bring all ntch or grnt thats a guaranteed win to me one dog per owner per hunt should be allowed
How is it a guaranteed win? If they follow the rules then they could draw - and not come out with + points. If they + a slick tree or something then that's cheating anyways. What happens if I own 3 NITECH and they are in a 3 dog cast together and they tree a possum? Then I just donated money to the club and didn't get no win.

Most owners don't want to hunt against their own dog. But the rules allow it if they want to and I see no reason to change the rule. All the club has to do is put a non-hunting judge on the cast if they don't trust the honesty. Or if you have concerns, go with the cast yourself and report back any irregularities.
It is a title for the dog not the owner. So if it beets the other dog and wins it should get the title . I could see were a lot of guys would get jelous though......

The solution for this is for the club to step up and put a nonhunting judge on the cast. There is not many people I would trust to send out with all their own dogs on a cast and be honest for 2 hours.
I know of a hunt where no NtCh's were entered. A phone call was made and a man shows up and enters. The club has a nonhunting judge available, but wait, the guy enters another NtCh, grabs a guy thats hanging around the club to handle it and off to the "woods" they go. Of course one of his dogs gets a NtCh win. Maybe it was legit, who knows?
If you have a coondog, but you know the situation might be questionable, wouldn't you WANT a nonhunting judge?

im not saying all people are that way but now you have the performance point and the people im talking about their dogs are all performanced these guys are now taking over a local club they elected their paid handlers as officers i know of 2 seperate occasions where thes guys drawed out together come back with big scores ,clean clothes, and score card that never been folded
i agree with the non-hunting judge but one the clubs i was at the president wanted to hunt his own dog and said he didnt care and everyone is wondering why the entries are down
I FORGET WHICH HUNT IT WAS BUT ONE OF THE BIG HUNTS 3 OUT OF 4 DOGS IN THE FINAL CAST WERE ALL OWNED BY THE SAME GUY OR GUYS.

in the big hunts i can see chances are they arent going to draw out together
Most owners don't want to hunt against their own dogs, most request to have their dogs put in separate casts, which they can do. It's no fun getting a "cheap" win and the impropriaty looks bad. Tom

He's a member of a club.........who was elected President of the club by club members, but wrong for him to compete at his own club because club members elected him President?
Does he have an unfair advantage because he has a title to his name? Guess I am not understanding why there would be an issue.
Is it the same for Vice-President, the Treasurer, and the Secretary concerning hunting too?
Is the President suppose to be up the MOH's six all night or something -- why can't he compete?
