We never got shot at, but we had to go into stealth mode last night. Our dogs got over on some ground that was leased for deer hunting. They were running up and down the road in their cars, I guess the weren't too happy. Any way after sneaking through th corn and gathering our dogs we made it back. We treed one under a barn, a den tree, two singles and we had a split tree behind enemy lines that we couldn't shoot. Considering we had to wait for the rain to subside, and we quit at 2:30 because we were soaking wet, we didn't have to bad of a hunt.

Well,I'll give you an A+ for effort,at least you was trying to get shot at.

Well, we faired a little better tonight. We treed 11 and also made 2 den trees. Perry's blue english has wound up on the injured disabled list. He somehow tore his ear and Perry would put him in the box until it stopped but every he let him loose it would start bleeding again. Other than that we have a few dogs that need to turn down their bel-tones. Probably won't hunt very late tomorrow, as Perry & Jim are planning on heading back home early Thursday.

Sounds like a heck of a good hunt last night. That blue dog ought to be healed up good enough for tonight.
You guys aint caught none on the ground yet?

No, not yet. Don't know if we're going to go tonight. Perry's sister-in-law is in the hospital for two blood clots on her lungs, and his brother-in-law has been admitted in another hospital because of chest pain. At first they thought he had a minor heart attack, but now they are unsure. His wife has been at the hospital the last few days, and has no one to watch their little girl. The way it looks, Perry and Jim will be heading back this evening.

Hmmmmmmm, sounds like I may need to run over to Jims and see if he brought anything back that I would be interested in.I went over there Sunday for feed and ended up coming home with a .22 rifle.
I hate to hear about Perry's brother and sister in law.

Made it home just past 5 a.m. Ed's time. Rained most of the way and I figure that kept the police at home. Otherwise we would have surely been arrested with all the goods we were toting. Talk to everyone later. Old Jim is going to bed.
