hickory nut harry top or bottom
would you rather have him on top or bottom [of pedigree]if you were buying a pup ? whats he cross well with on top and/or bottom
He cross well on abby!!! They like to cross him on hard tree dog they say he has a lot of track.
I would rather see Ole South's Stylish Rebel, Harry's full brother, myself. Seems like he threw a dog with a little more sense and accuracy. JMO.

You need to cross Harry blood on something with a lot of tree and not trashy. His blood will take care of the rest top or bottom.

you taking up coonhunting Monte or just wondering?
I just had to ask...you guys are saying cross Harry on something that throws tree? Some of the most bug eyed blow down slobber slingin tree dogs I Have ever seen were straight out of harry, I know of quite a few harry dogs that had too much tree...

well. i really don't think it would matter a whole lot if you are crossing it on a coon dog

I like those Harry dogs, lots of go, loud and most are tree dogs. I had one I hunted in the hunts a couple years; I don't belive I lost but one cast with him. Nice hound, could really make something happen. I have a male dog, heavy Lipper and Banjo bred, I breed him to Harry bred females and get some nice pups that are born started and progress pretty quickly. If you'll look in Harry's pedigree, you'll see Stylish Lipper is his grand sire; that won't hurt a bit for what I'm trying to maintain. Just my thoughts. Tom
