Spring Lion

Treed this cat on Monday. Cat weighed 151 lbs. and was an even 7 ft. long. He did not present himself for pictures very well, but here are a few. Took lots of dog pictures tho.

more dogs treeing

On this last picture, the pup on the far left, is Logans Rattler pup, and the dog 3rd from the left is a littermate(Dad's pup) Rip. These 2 pups are from a litter we had last summer. Both are doing a great job and they are LOUD!!!

the pic below is Rocket(4 years old, and a SOLID hound)

THANKS, EVERYONE..........

We had a great year, but looks like spring is upon us. Already can't wait till next lion season. Hopefully we can travel a couple times to run some bear.
Hope to see lots of bear pics on here for the next couple months.

Ruger

Looks like the hounds are still doing a great job! Another Nice cat!! I just thought I would pass this news on to you. I got a call from the Kohls tonight and they found Ruger dead in the kennel. Just under 7 yrs old. Too bad - he was one hell of a hound. I hope you have good luck with the pups you kept out of him. Talk with you later. Pat Long

Ruger

That is horrible news. Ruger was a great hound which makes it a great loss. He was a pleasure to have in the kennel, also. We just talked to Josh a couple weeks ago. Of course talked about Dave, Ruger, and hounds in general. Dave was real happy with the RugerII pup we sent home with Ruger. Hopefully he will carry on. We have 3 pups here that are almost 9 moths old.(2M,1F) We just weighed them this week. Rattler is 82 lb, Rip is 77 lb, and Roxie is 70 lb. They are gonna be good sized dogs like their sire! Keep in touch, will probably see you this fall. We will give Josh a call soon.

Breeding

Yummy,
We started with one main female from my dads line of dogs, and then have breed from there. My dads line consisted of mostly S.R., Edisto River. The outcrosses we have made and been happy with have alot of S.R. in their background. Hope this answers your question!!!!
Happy Hunting

P.S. Lion season closed for us yesterday, and today it is a blizzard.......UGH...Still have the fever lol
