These 2 male pups treed this female on their own at less than 1 1/2 years old. Did a great job. Was a track they had to work for, definitely not smokin' hot.

Great Exercise

Was a long drag to get the cat out about 3 miles in a narrow canyon.....but was well worth it!!! Would do it every day if we could!!!!. Love to chase the hounds!!

What bloodlines of Blue dogs are you running there in the BIG SKY COUNTRY???????
They look like great dogs. Legs long enough for deep snow if need be.

Bloodlines............

We are a take off of my dads line which was "Montana Blue".
There is old Smokey River, Edisto River, with other stuff mixed in.
We have outcrossed to mostly Smokey River blood.
Yes, we do like leg under our dogs for the Montana snow!!!

Nice pics. Nothing better then following blue dogs after big cats. I just got in from trying to get old track warmed up. I followed dogs for about 5 miles. We havn't had snow in a couple of weeks so I was free casting dogs in a good looking canyon. We did find a track it was a couple of days old. This cat went from the dirt to snow, from one canyon to the next. never got any closer though. The last track I saw was burnt out so bad I could hardly tell it was a lion. That was 3:00 so I cought up the dogs and came home. Its always nice to see a blue dog getting it done even if its not mine.

Yes, the conditions right now are not cat hunter friendly. That tom was the last cat we have run. We have been out a couple times, but with no luck finding a track....old or new. Good Luck and Happy Hunting!!!
