Lost our Bruiser

For all that know Keegan and me, we lost Bruiser Tuesday night. He was struck on M-52 and found the next morning. Keegan will be keeping one of our pups, which helps with some of the sorrow, but he states, "it's just not easy, Mom." Bruiser was only with us for a very short time, but we became very attached to his sweet demeanor and beautiful face. The potential that we lost is sickening. He will be missed terribly. Keena

I KNOW THAT IS A BAD THING,BUT YOU HAVE TO GO AND KEEP RUNNING DOGS.WHEN YOU WANT TO RUN JUST LET ME KNOW AND WE CAN TAKE CHIEF OUT WITH SHORTBUS AND GET HIM STRAIGTEN HIM OUT.ALSO THIS IS SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT,I AM JUST TRYING TO HELP.I WOULDN'T RUN CHIEF IN ANYMORE HUNTS UNTIL IS ABOUT 3YRS OLD AND SOLO HIM.AFTER YOU STRAIGTHEN HIM OUT.I WILL STILL RUN WITH YOU AND KEEGAN.THAT WAY YOU KNOW THAT IS DOING WHAT YOU WANT,ALSO IF YOU WANT TO WE CAN TAKE UP TO JIM WALE'S SOMETIME,BUT AFTER YOU DO THIS YOU STILL HAVE RUN A COLLAR ON HIM.UNTIL HE TURNS THEM DOWN.I AM NOT PUTTING MY PUPS IN THE HUNTS UNTIL THEY ARE 3YRS OLD AND I KNOW THAT THEY ARE BROKE AND CAN RUN THERE OWN RABBIT.

Hey Eugene. I'm hear'in ya. I will continue to run, I'm a little leary, but know we have to go on. Everyone in this sport knows once you turn 'em loose anything could happen. We would love to run with you and will contact you in the near future. Again, thanks for your advice. Keena

Eugene, Saturday @ 9:00 a.m. I have an appointment with the vet for 3 pups, and Sunday I'm taking 2 pups to Jim's, so I will probably run across the road when I get the time. Chief and Hope had a nice run on a rabbit through the corn fild, AGAIN, ugh! But, it lasted a good 20 min. I'm looking forward to running Hope with Chief each time. I believe Chief will be just fine running with her. I'm planning on doing solo time with Mic. I will give Jim Wales a call, and yeah, it would be great if you could ride along. Talk soon.
