redbone female wins(bred right kennels)

i'm posting this be cause my bad luck maybe ending. as many of you know couple weeks ago my cowgirl female got hit on the road and broken her pelvis bone on both sides. girl is doing good and walking around some.

'pr' lucking's amazing grace has seen 3 coon in her life with 2 being this last thursday and 1 last hide season( what i mean is she was started as a pup on caged coon but has had 3 shot down) well any way i put her in her 1st hunt last night and won 2 nd place. she did honor the 1st tree of the night which was slick but after that she did her thing when dogs came up slick she wouldn't back them and did a good job on the 2 coon scored. which makes even better is grace is out of my brothers NT.CH.CH.MICHELLE'S JAMMIN JAZZ which he bred raise trained and currently advertising at stud evey month in coonhound bloodlines, and graces dam is me(wade) and my brother(guy) NT.CH.CH.LUCKING'S MAD MAGGIE which was bred raised and trained at bred right kennels, grace is continueing this as she was bred raised and trained, grace is 20 months old.

i listed grace's pedigree the names in cap letters are dogs we owned or still own. you will notices after then names of the dogs are ( ) with leters here what the lettes mean

O- owned or still own(duke was bought 1/2 brother to trooper)(sue was bought and sold after having beauty's litter)

B- bred here at bred right kennels

R- raised at bred right kennels

T- trained at bred right kennels

sorry to ramble on. this cross has been made again and maggie is due to whelp in the next week and looks like she will have a bunch. look in classified ad section as i'm posting this litter on there.

congratulations on the win Wade,it always feels just a little better when you have raised them out of your own kennel and they are winners even though some folks preach about not going outside one's own kennel is causing the breed to go downhill

pappy thanks and infact this female when nt.ch. out will be bred outside our kennel. i have a couple males in mind and a couple on the verge(meaning not sure how they are reproducing or don't have pups out yet) i should have her finished this year a bred next spring watch and follow her progress.( i missed 1st place by 50+) pappy the other thing is we are trying to promote jazz as a stud dog and at this time has 9 pups sired with 3 females going to whelp in a couple weeks so he is on his way of being 1 for 9 pups.

Wade my point is,if a person can produce winning hounds out of their own kennel like you have done with this female,how is that ruining the redbone breed?There are lots of redbone breeders producing hounds capable of winning and doing it from their own kennels.It has to be a great feeling, having a winning hound that was produced from ones own kennel with only three or four hounds in three generations not coming from that kennel.Anyway it looks like you have done just this and that's certainly not hurting our breed as far as I can see.

pappy i see your point and their is truth to it if you can produce pups that can compete from your own hounds so be it. but people need to look outside their kennel some to. to many people breeding males and females that don't reproduce and keep breeding them. we at bred right kennels have been lucky to have reproducing males and females at our kennel.

nt.ch.ch.lucking's kn. lake trooper sired 33 pups 2 nt.ch.'s

nt.ch.powder hole dazzlin duke sired 22 pups 2 nt.ch's

nt.ch.gr.ch. lucking's red tornado sired 23 pups 2 nt.ch.'s

and now we have nt.ch.ch.michelle's jammin jazz who is a son of duke and grandson of trooper. jazz of right now is out reproducing the top dogs i listed. i say this becasue his pups are better than the pups the others sired. i'm not on here to brag jazz up and blow smoke for he is here along with his pups for anyone to see.

ps. would just like to point out the above males nt.ch.'s were out of different females( no 1 time wonder crossess) what would of happend if they had sired more pups, well you can find out by watching jazz's progress as a stud dog.

back to going outside your kennel to breed ,there comes a point when you can line breed so much or you need to add a little something you might be missing or strengthen some trait.(i would only do this by going to a proven male/female and more line bred the better, off any line.)
