Track Speed

What stud dog of today is putting lightning track speed to his off spring? I have all the tree that I need. This female is rat on top and nitro on bottom. Will be looking to breed her before long and need some track speed.

Just make sure its really a track dog you breed to.NOT ONE that just goes around barking to hear itself open!!

It's hard to breed like that , you could get just as many dogs that aren't real good tree dogs OR track dogs ... as to think you will get even one that is the best of both.

If your female lacks in tracking , you still want to breed to a treedog and one that matches her strengthes or betters them .. PLUS is a better trackdog.

If you sacrifice anything , it's gonna bite you in the butt and most of the people who get a pup from it .

I haven't seen many good track dogs of any breed , coondogs can get away with fumbling around and scaring something up a tree so a stylish idiot can sire alot of pups .

But , I did see a few pups from Boone's Thunder that were the real deal as track dogs and good mouths .

If you could find something from him or maybe other Boone blood you may get a good track dog ...good luck.

GRNTCH 'PR' Oak Ridge Jake... I would put his tracking ability against anything out there and hes a lockdown all night treedog.

Doing what i said is not for the faint hearted .
you have to be prepaired to except sugsess or failure and move on. chances are you would get a pretty good track dog out of that cross but then you would have to keep crossing back into your foundation and work from their, Even if you found a good hound " Tree Hound" that had good track speed and treed well, chances are only one or none would really satisfie what you wanted in a hound, They dont come every day like we want them to, thats why for many years people have been crossing back and forth trying to get the best of Both .

I know what i like , and i know what i want. very few have shown that they have it in there dogs today from what i have seen.
The dogs today have been breed to be too indapendant.
if your hound strikes i want my dog to cover your hound and help your hound trail and run their game all the way to tree or to catch. that is from a plesure hunter not a comp hunter, mine gets some yours gets some, that kind of hunting .
