Thanks , Heather .. glad to be back . Alexa is just over 6 months old now and alot of fun ... she sleeps all night and so far doesn't cry unless she's hungry ... it's all giggles and squeals otherwise .

Ron , thanks man ... I like taking cool pics and trying to get shots that aren't the same old thing .. to show that B&T's are unique and have something in them not all hounds do .

Plus , for all reading ... that age when pups are weaned is crucial .. the time spent with them , not just playing .. but hauling them to see the world and learning some discipline ... it sets the foundation for your relationship with them when it's time to hunt .. and you can't get that opportunity back .

If you aint got time for pups now , you aint got time to train them later either ....

If u dont have time for pups now you won't later - that is the truth right there. I start messing with my pups as soon as I get my hands on em and it seems to make all the difference to me. I get called crazy for bringing my 4 month old pup with me when I go hunting till they see him in action .

Hey Justin!

Sounds like life with Alexa is awesome! Hannah, our grandbaby is 7 mos now I think? (may 2nd) and we will see her again for Christmas! Can't wait! She is an active lil thang! What a miracle they really are!!!
The dawgs... LOVE when you get those pix from above! AND as for pups and weaning... you SURE do know what is the best thing for them.... You can always tell when a dog or in my old world horse....is NOT handled well as a weanling! Here at home when we have looked to foster or adopt I have told Bob we WILL NOT HAVE PUPS...because with my brain injury and fatigue...I don't have the energy OR the brain to teach them well, and I Am FUSSY!...but now I' let the critters or KIDS... get away with murder and ruin them LOL... SO... Some Day (haha...like it will ever happen) when BOB can retire...HE can get a pup...and He DOES want to get one some day and teach it to coonhunt and he would love to do some shows. He did it with the horses back in the day and would like handling on the bench...or even in a reg. conformation show. He understands build to movement to purpose and would love the competition...ME on the other hand? I did a couple puppy matches(akc) with Germ. Shep. pup and felt nauseous the whole time! NO way I'd do it...lol... I think he would STUDY your pix again to work on the bench... with the hunting training he'd have to depend on exp. hunters to help out.. He would not want to RUIN a good dog...
Enjoy that beautiful babe and the dawgs!
Heather
