Warm Up Slams at the Winter Classic - $1000 Added Each Night

The Warm Up Slams are a great opportunity for those coming to the Winter Classic to get their hounds out and prepped for the weekend hunts. Thanks to Northwest MS CHA and the Enid Lake CHA for hosting these events.

Both hunts will be held out of the Batesville Civic Center in Batesville, Mississippi.

Slam Rules - All dogs, regardless of category, are drawn out together. UKC Championship Honor Rules (NITECH, GRNITECH). Cast winner must have a total score of plus points to the eligible for any part of the payout.


Payout Procedure - 55% of the entry fee is paid out to the winners.
1) Any dog winning it's cast with a total score of plus points to receive it's $30 entry fee back.

2) Remaining payout, including added purse, is reserved for the four dogs with the highest total score.

Those dogs with the four highest scores have the option to split the money or hunt it off.

The remaining payout may only be split if majority of cast agrees to split. Otherwise, the Final Cast will hunt for one hour in a late round.

If the Final Cast hunts it off, the remaining payout to be distributed as follows:

1st - 40%
2nd - 30%
3rd - 20%
4th - 10%

Championship Points/Wins - All dogs in the Final Cast will receive a First Place win, regardless of category.

Can't make it but for those that can I hope they have a plan on how many dogs they can take, keep entries in order of sign up and not get into the mess that happened at AO.

So far, they've not had any issues getting everyone out in Mississippi. Last year they hunted 70 on Wednesday night and 148 on Thursday.
