2016 National Redbone days pictures...

Gr.Nt.Ch. Moonlight Outlaw Mac won first place and High scoring dog of hunt on Thursday night with 1100+ Dr. Allen Hallada, Jesse Boley, Tony Dominguez, Me, Mark Marshall.

L to R, Tony Dominguez, Taylor Case, Shane Maxey, Brittany Case, Mark Marshall, Danny Biggert, Artie Berrisford, Lynn Eric Wolcott.
My partner Danny Biggert with Gr.Nt.Ch. Ky Moonlight Trip won her casts on Thursday and Saturday night with 775+ & 1175+ to get get qualified for UKC World, Win 1st place Grand Nite Champion and overall high scoring opposite sex of the entire hunt. She is out of our Gr.Nt.Ch. Ky Moonlight Breanna x Gr.Nt.Ch. Rocky Top Jet. Her mother Breanna won Hi Opposite Sex at 2012 National Redbone Days and Trips older half sister Gr.Nt.Ch. Outlaw Cherry Bomb won it in 2014 so we are proud of them all.

Gr.Nt.Ch.Gr.Ch. Outlaw All Grand G-Man also racked up double cast win and got qualified for the UKC World Championship as well.

Mac's little brother Nt.Ch. Moonlight Ridge also got a win with a nice score of 675+ in the RQE and got qualified for the UKC World Championship

And one of the best redbone men ever standing behind us...Danny Biggert.
Kate is the mother of both Mac and Ridge and she is the one and only pup from Gr.Nt.Ch. Moonlight Kate x Gr.Nt.Ch. Montana Red Mountain Ranger.
Incidentally....the Buck dog who won overall Champion of 2016 Redbone Days is her half brother, also Being directly out of Ranger. I drew out with Buck Saturday night while handling Mac. It was neck and neck all night and we were tied and Mac had the edge as we cut em for the final time near the end of the hunt. They treed in different directions and after we scored Mac's tree we went to Buck. Buck had a better strike than mac so if he has the coon...he wins the cast. We searched the tree for 9 and a half minutes....and then they found his coon. Had we not found it....Mac would have been the 2016 National Redbone Days Champion...but the coon was there and Buck deserved the win. He reminded me a lot of Mac...probably because he and Mac's mother are half brother and sister.
All in all it was a great hunt and it was great to see everyone again.
Not pictured but also deserving of some recognition is Danny's son in law Taylor Case who was also a double cast winner Friday and Saturday with Nt.Ch. Moonlight Spuds Dud who is out of the 2014 Redbone Days Champion Gr.Nt.Ch. Good Nite Jim Bob x Gr.Nt.Ch. Moonlight May.
Also not pictured was Artie Berrisford who handled Gr.Nt.Ch. KY Moonlight Kate to a win Saturday over some tough walkers ...one of which scored over 1200+ on Friday to win 1st place Grand Nite. Overall I think the whole team looked good and we have a pretty nice roster of redbones to compete with in the big hunts this fall. Congrats to all the other winners at 2016 National Redbone Days!

Had a great time up there Jason...got to meet some great younger up and comers ...they are the future of this sport so we all need to do what we can to keep them interested and motivated about the sport and the redbone breed!

I had a great time this weekend and got to see some really good dogs. I was fortunate enough to see Mac put up a impressive 1100 with no minus on Thursday night. The future is looking good for the redbone breed.

I forgot to include Robbie Abrams and his male Gr.Ch.Nt.Ch. Little Red Billy...he got some cast wins also. Billy is a two time Southern Redbone Days Overall Champion out of Outlaw Billy the Kid x Nighty Nite Amber.
