Question about females coming in heat

Is it true that one female can come in heat and trigger another female in the same area to come in heat also ?

We've tried it here once and by the time one was almost out the other was coming in.So i have seen it work but only once.

Yes it can

My dog came in last week and as soon as she started bleeding
The other female came in . Now their both bleeding and humping each
Other. A female pup 10 months old has now starting humping both
Females. It's a virtual estrogen fest. So unless this is completely coincidental
A female in heat CAN trigger another

Last year all three of mine came in about a month after the one they were kenneled next to. This year Ruby came in in early Feb, I had Candy in the kennel right next to her and she just came in heat last week.

thanks yall for the info.

Sometimes they seem to come in one after another. Last summer, one would come in and within a couple weeks the next and so on till they all had come in

Jason,

it works. I don't know why it works but it works. As someone who mostly hunts females, it can be frustrating at times and a blessing at other times...........but it works.

the smartest vet I know ( who is female) explained it to me as "if you put a room full of ANY females togather long enough, there cycles will match up sooner or later."

Without scientific proof we're just guessing. When a female in Florida comes in, another in New York is coming in. And one in Colorado. Are they affecting one another? It's coincidental.

NEVER HAD MUCH LUCK WITH THAT, BUT,

Our 2 year Old Female came in Mid March. Late March/Early April our 8 Month Old Female came in also. Never had One come in this young. She had a regular head cycle.
