My dog lives at my buddies which is about a 15mi round trip give or take a couple miles...from there I can drive half mile away...usually average 25mi pleasure hunting around the farm a couple drops and back to the farm then back home...

If I am hide hunting I travel away from the farm to my hide hunting spots...coon around the farm are pretty safe from us so we have good hunting all year... my hide hunting spots are rougher spots i don't like hunting and/or farther away...i figure the hides make up for the gas..don't usually kill many coon but some years I get in the mood and wanna skin some..

i drive about 5 miles to pleasure hunt/train dogs. very blessed to have good private land to hunt on round here. Got huge tracts of public land close by to hunt when season is in.

Yeah I feel pretty blessed where I live right now. I can hunt right from my back yard. I have so many acres of woods around me I can just keep turning loose all night and it also helps I get a long with my neighbors so I can hunt there woods too.

I drive a minimum of 45 miles one way, and it quickly adds up after that.

Dang Larry, you live in northern Mi and you gotta drive that far to hunt? I figured you just go across the road.
