New Garmin.

It's called the Alpha, and has been out for alittle while.

i know about the alpha and i know how long its been out.what i heard was something about an update for astros to track more numbers and update the collars for more numbers.again this was only rumor

They really need to do something about the number of dogs you can track and the collar interference messages. I don't have any problem with the system coon hunting, but when running deer hounds and where you may have 15-20 garmin collars within a mile or so it is a real pain.

Bruce,

Is the DC 50 for the Astro or Alpha?

Or are you just pulling our leg?

Posted by chasinbear on 03-20-2013 09:56 PM:

it would be nice if it was for astro.and would help to eliminate interference issues

I wish the DC 50 was just like the 30 sept it being on a dayglow collar

Astro collars are DC's, Alpha collars are TT's.

I talked to guy at collar clinic and he just an add of some sort for the garmin dc50 basically it is a dc 30 system on a dc40 collar

Posted by chasinbear on 03-21-2013 02:04 PM:

all i know is i hope if its a new collar there will also be an update for more numbers to be able to track.being limited to 10 dogs is aggravating because more and more people are switching to gps and the interference issues keep getting worse

Posted by chasinbear on 03-22-2013 06:19 PM:

well whatever they do in regards to a dc 50 i hope its better as far as range battery life and some way adds more collar numbers.oh yea and durability.those are the main issues that garmin collars have
