Don't rule out the skunk ape. They live in a more southern climate but times are tough.....

dang that's what happened to me. We heard the dogs tree and when we got to them they was in a big hole in the ground. I bet that squach ran off with the whole tree. We treed about 7 times Friday night and never seen a coon. I bet that joker was letting our dogs tree the coon and was stealing them out the tree before we got there. I was beginning to think my dog was lying, but thanks to this post I know now that it was a squach stealing my coon. Thanks guys.

I have no doubt it was a squatch, it's their natural habitat.

And now they think they can get away with anything after being on them T.V. commercials. Can't belive that they let a little fame go rite to their head.
