My boys first hunt. Special night

Pretty special night for me. After a little persuading I got my wife talked into going with me and taking the boys on their first coon hunt together. Not her idea of a nice family night out but it ended up being a lot of fun. Ty is 4 and Cole is 2. They both did great but they were pretty disappointed the first track ended up in a den tree. The second time they got to see a coon and were pretty excited. Never missed a second from start to finish. I would say they are hooked and ask to go every night. What makes this hunt even more special is their first hunt got to be with these 2 ten year old potlicker dual grand littermates that my wife and I raised from pups.

Nothing like taking a child or adult for they're first hunt. I took my youngest daughter at the beginning of the year! What a trip! She was hollering etc & my wife told her if she wasn't quite I wasn't going to let her come back. Lol I explained to my wife that it wasn't like deer hunting she could make all the racket she wanted. It amazes me how small children aren't afraid of the dark. Every one I've ever taken will just wonder ahead etc and I need to put tracking collars on them at times! Lol my youngest daughter is always hollering " watch out for the sticker pines " still have no clue what she's talking bout!

Joe, i love that about the sticker pines.

Corey I hope to god you send them 2 to get swimming lessons just in case they got dive in and safe your back side someday. That's great time right there looks like you got some hunting buddies for life now. The old dogs still look like their in good shape. Hope you have some more nights of fun with them 2 boys before the snow hits.

Never gonna let me live that down are ya. Well lucky for me they love swimming. Hope to take them out this wk sometime. Old dogs are still kicking. Not like they used to though thats for sure. dutch gets pretty stiff in the rear with arthritis and brandy runs outa gas pretty fast but they still manage to put a few up.
