Tick question?

Is there anything you can put on a tick that will make him let loose of the dog, so you can pick the off without leaving part of the tick still attached to dog?

I have heard clear fingernail polish will make them let go.

if your dog will stand still heat the end of a neddle and touch the tick it should let go

Any good flea and tick spray will make them let go after a minute or two.

I always heard light a match and let it burn for a bit, then blow the flame out, and stick the match head on the tick.

thanks everyone, i gave the dog a bath with dish soap and let it soak in good, got a good pair of tweezers and picked 21 ticks off last night seemed to work better than just doing it by hand

Bayer cow ear tags

Get 1 and put it on the dogs collar. Your tick problems will be over.

Eeewww!

21 ticks on one dog! Makes me glad live out west. In 30 years of hunting/working dogs I may have seen that many ticks on my dogs. Probably closer to 10-12.

You need to use something to keep the ticks off. That is just not good for you or the dog with all the tick borne illnesses you have back there.

I'm going to be scratching all day now....

Rubbing alcohol on a rag, then smother tick with rag. It makes them back out with no pulling.
