I used a Rossi Slide Action .22 for years, very good gun.
It is a replica of the Winchester model 62.

.

I have the Rossi 22 single shot with interchangeable barrels. I just have the 22 with scope and it works well for coonhunting.

I bought a rossi .22 combo last fall before season came in and after putting in a hard kill season with it I love it. I won't coon hunt with anything else!!

Rossi....22

I have a Rossi 22 single shot with a Simmons 4 powered scope. I call it the "The COON SLAYER". It's great for coon hunting because it's short & compact. I've had it for years in the rain, mud & snow. And I have never had a problem with it.

I have a Rossi 22/410 combo. I really like it. It came with a bag that I can pack on my back with both barrels. I just put the gun together at the tree. It only takes about 30 seconds.I treed in a hemlock back last year. I seen the coon while going into the tree but it wouldn't look again. I put the 410 barrel on and blasted the top out of the tree The only downside......according to their website they say DO NOT SHOOT 22 SHORTS. Not sure why since it is a single shot. I bought some Remington 22 CBEE Long Rifle. They work good.

I have shot a few boxes of CBEE shorts & never had a problem. I never knew you wasn't suposed to shot shorts in it. I don't know what it could hurt?

Rich I'm glad you have had great success with your gun. My hunting buddy and I both have this gun and neither one of us can get better than a 6" group at 100yrds with the 243. I've gone through 3 types of ammo 2 scopes and using a led sled and just can't get good shot placement. After reading several reviews of this gun it seems its about 50/50 getting one that will shoot straight.
