Raining
Looks like another night in.
anybody ever drive the rds in between the rain
for a quick tree with the pups
i usually hunt mine during the rain the hunts are not postponed due to rain so the dogs need to be used to any type of conditions that come up

well we went out last night the rain wasnt to bad but that
wind was murder.blackpowder weekend here everybody
had a feed bucket out.how hunting has changed over the
yrs.
Went out last night got on the back side of the rain had a rough hunt though treed a coon in 5-10 mins of turning loose. But the rest of the night was big den maples. Was a little light even though it was cloudy. Got a late start as well. They didnt stay on the ground long last night dont know if its the front coming through or what but I have hunted this place tons of times and never had a den tree night like last night. 4 trees 3 dens 1 on the outside.
I wouldnt mind the rain too bad but, staying dry is priority lol
sounds like are sat. hunt made 2 dens 2 in the ground
not a lot of fun walking cliffs to a pup in the ground
going to start bust him.last night he struck pretty
quick we thought he had got out of hearing.
he shout up and got back on the other side of the
rd on us we spent a 1hr look for them in the wind.
When the moons bright we have a lot of those nights. When it starts going back to new moon we can have some real good nights. I knew first turnout though it wouldn't take long cause ive turned loose 13 times in there and treed 13 coon and most wont run 100 yards. Dropped and sure enough bam just like always...struck made 2-3 barks fell treed as usual.
But just as a couple nights before that once it got about 10pm seemed like a bunch of really good tracks ending in dens. The last track was a cold one...she finally got up on it and pushed it deeeeeeeep into a den. Never seen a dog get gone that quick we were both wondering how she got so deep so fast. One minute i could get her on close range on the tracker and literally 5 mins later...I could barely get her on long range. It was kinda rough country though but still got pretty far in there had to drive the road about 2 miles then walk 3/4 mile to her. Im gonna try it sat night but, that big ol moon is sure to be full.
how was it last night? snow, windy, cold early warmed up
a little clouds moved out was suppose to be the brights
night of the yr with the moon traveling close to the earth.
hey jr. got to get out off that river and those bluffs you guys got to understand blueticks dont do good in rain and hes a little guy the water gets deep heel wash away only weights 98 lbs soaking wet fred said come on down in the hills he will put you in the coon let me know when your coming would like to see your dog [steve ]
