freddie rigo(sp) has GrNtCh GrCh Moore's Hollar Kansas Cash who i Bred to last year and every pup in the litter was treeing by 8 months of age. i hunted with one of the males and he extremely good at 9 months.one of the females went to canada made show Ch on her way to GrCh and was beating GrNtCh dogs consistantly in the woods but was killed. Cash is also on the top reproducers list now. i am very satisfied with the cross and wished i had kept one of the pups
where are you located at?

I live in Emporia, Va, Allen. And I have a pup off of Cash and I am extremly happy with her, she to was treeing by 7 mo, now at 8 months you have to drag her off the tree and she sceams the whole way out if someone is carrying the coon out, She WANTS it!
I think cash is a good reproducer, ive hunted several dogs out of him and the were all coondogs.
I plan on breeding my cash pup to my duel grand, Fletchs Blk Smokin Ace, a son of Setum Up Ace.

Jim

Won't that be piling a ton of Setem up ACE on the pups??? It would be on both sides, sometimes that can get a little hairy when it comes to competition hunting?

Rob,

It was the pup that jason hoeg (sp) had. up in Nova Scotia i believe. the female i bred t oCash was Dave Nicholas' Molly female. congrats on the winning you have been doing with Blaze Rob.

Dave,

i am going to buy that pup off of Pete and get tango from you at the end of this month as long as the weather isnt still crappy up there. give me a call sometime and maybe if the weather stays bad we can maybe work something out.

Thanks Allen,
That is why I never heard about it (NS) is a world away from me.I think it is about a 24HR drive out there.
As for BLAZE,Troy Cornell and Blaise Bauer have aquired half interest in him and have him in KS for the winter.Hopfully this will keep him tuned for the SS this spring.
Thanks again,Rob W.

Jimbob,

When you get a lot of ACE bred in close, you want to hunt with and get to know the hounds you are breeding if possible. From time to time some ACE bred hounds can get an attitude.

My son has one out of ACE that is a gentle and not an ill hair in him, but everytime I draw out with people from Tenn with him, they ask me what he is out of and then they give me a funny look and say well we will see how this night goes, figuring I am bringing a tough dog to the woods, and I don't mean tough as hunting ability. I never have a problem with him, and then they apologize for their comment and tell me some bad experiences they have had hunting against ACE bred dogs. I like ACE dogs don't get me wrong, you just need to be aware of the parents attitudes. That GRNTCH Moore's KS Cash is out of ACE and he is a nice hound and throws real nice hard hunting pups.

I understand the reputation some of the Ace dogs may have but

I want a dog with good tree power, good mouth and the attitude has a lot to do with how teach and train them, hunt them with mean dogs you will have mean dog.
My cash pup Betty, she is gonna be a handful she has a good chop on tree, bawl on track, and at 8 months old she is not scared to get on the tree with anything I hunt with. I know Ace's personality and i am finding out hers hunting her now and i beleive the cross will produce what I like in a hound.

But hey I will book you one of these alligator pups if you want one :P
