not funny at first.....

This was not funny when it happened...but im glad i can laugh at it now.Last Sat. nite i decided to carry my walker male to a cornfield where the coons are eating up.Ben (my dog) and I are walkin along, very hot, when he strikes and starts to run the track kinda slow.Im just sitting there listening to the race when all of a sudden a moth flies right in my ear!I calmly try to shake it out,but hes not interested. So I start shakin my head toward the ground, still nothing.I then get the idea to put my light up to my ear....maybe he will go to the light? But no.He just starts fluttering faster.Starting to get on my nerves. My wife is sitting in the truck. So I go back to the truck to get her to help. But she cant see him.Now Ben is treed! So i have to go get him.I stayed up all nite with that sucker fluttering in my ear and stubborn me dont go to the E.R. until late the next morning.Took them an hour to get him out of there. And the nurse said i blistered my ear with the light. But im fine now.So my advise to anyone this happens to is...go to the E.R. as soon as possible.

Real Simple Fill your ear with water drown the moth then it will come out with the water.takes about three mins.

lol.Thats what my dad said,Ronald.I tried that Gayle, and the nurses tried it too. They ended up having to cut it up in 2 pieces with some very tiny scissors and pull it out. Then they washed his legs out with water and a syringe. And to make it worse my ear was blistered.

My Granny did the same thing.

She called it raking the duck dukie out of our ears when we were kids.

that was funny. going to the er to clean out your ears. try a q-tip after your shower. lol.
the one time my daughter and i were hunting i heard a weird squeal beside me. i didn't have my light on but i jumped. my daughter laughed at me and turned to me. she had her light on. a bat hit her right in the face then bounced off her cap. the weird squeal i heard must have been the radar they have.

LOL I know the feeling. One night I had a moth fly into my ear while hunting. I poured Dr. Pepper in mine to drown him. Wife had to get him with tweezers when I got in. That 'fluttering' in your ear will drive you nutts.

i never heard of it till a few weeks ago. My friend was telling me about this 'candle' kinda thing you clean your ears out with. You get them at a health food store. Looks like gause dipped in wax, and it is a funnel shape. You put the cone in your ear and get a good seal. You actually light the big end on fire. The heat is just enough to 'melt' the crap in your ear, and as the fire burns it creates a suction which pulls the mess out. It takes about 15 to 25 min for it to burn down. After it was over I took the cone and cut the bottom off it. I liked to puke when I saw that stuff.

I am pretty leary of 'home remedies' but folks I swear to you, after it was over I could hear better.
