Briarproof and Waterproof?

Who out there makes jackets Briarproof and 100% waterproof with the elastic cuffs around wrist? I have tried a few just to realize water resistant and waterproof are two different things. Also finding Briarproof jackets and hoodies with elastic cuffs is hard to do any more, I know I can’t be the only person out there that likes the sleeves to fit tight around my wrist. Anyone out here have any suggestions of who still makes quality hunting gear with cuffs and waterproof?

Jackets

The Best I have found is Mark Zepps line of Jackets and the inside Cuff is an extra but well worth it......By far the BEST Jacket since Wicks....!!!

Brairproof

My wick jacket didn't have cuffs so I had put elastic in the the cuffs also I were it a couple weeks ago in light most rain and in 35 minutes it was soaking thru it was made in 1988 and still looks great I must have cuffs in jackets I have skinny arms etc.

Is the Zepps jacket 100% waterproof or just water resistant?

I assume you are a coon hunter and I just want to offer my opinion on waterproof coats. Gore-tex is breathable and waterproof and works great with little or very moderate exercise, but coon hunting and walking a lot you WILL sweat and get wet from the inside. I own many waterproof coats, but nothing keeps you from getting wet during heavy exercise like coon hunting or walk hunting of any kind. Just trying to help. Dave

That's how it is! Either wet from the inside or wet from the out.

Exactly, There is nothing on the market that will keep you dry if you are exercising like walking or climbing hill ECT. Now stand hunting is different, you can remain bone dry in a pouring rain with proper rain gear. Nothing helps a coon hunter due to internal sweating to fast to wick off gear. Dave

I think I've found the best protection from rain. It's the roof of my house.

Winner winner, chicken dinner, lol. I agree with you in my older age, but hunted for many years in ALL weather conditions, mostly coon hunting. I tried every rain proof clothing ever made or it seemed that way and most were excellent for stand hunting or slow walking, but NOT for coon hunting. Waterproof turned into sweat proof and I got WET. Dave

Yeas ago I bought a pair of Wicks overalls. Every time I wore them (only about 5 times) I got home wet. And it wasn't raining.

Lol. That's exactly what happens with rain gear you sweat faster than the gear can wick the moisture away when doing anything other than standing still or very slow walking. The best thing I have ever found to wear coon hunting in light rain is 100percent wool as it keeps you warm even when wet. Cotton will freeze you! Dave
