Tar Sent me a Photo of a Split Tree,
Tar sent me a Photo of a Coon on two trees. He asked me to post it. Well from about 20 years ago I have a photo I took of a dog that might have treed that coon. LOL

I wasn't worried about that little female leaving that tree. LOL

They ain't but 3 bites in a honey bun.
Tar

About 20 years ago me and my Grandson had a ritual with Honey Buns when we baited a trap. We would open it up and we would each take a bite and then put the rest in the trap.
Man, I use to write about what me and my Son did and now he is grown and gone. Now writing about what me an my Grandson did years ago and now he is grown and doing his own thing. Just me an the Honey Buns left. Honey Buns stick with you forever. LOL

My bouncing baby boy is 6'4" and 330 lbs he can do bad things to a honeybun but since he was little when we went hunting or fishing I always carry those little cans of beans and weenies and saltine crackers about 3 cans for him lol.

Tar, I am not sure the younger generation understands all the goodies we use to have at the corner store.
Sardines and Crackers Yum Yum Loved the ones in mustard.
Vienna Sausage and Crackers Yum Yum
Small can of beanie weenies Yum Yum
One of those was generally lunch everyday.
Of course Honey Buns for for dessert. LOL
Use to take all kinds of snacks hunting. Now that I have aged some. I am lucky to just take myself.

It's almost watermelon time here just split one in half on the tailgate and everybody eat.

Tar you talk about being a competent judge. Score this. The trees my little female was on, if one had the coon and the other was broke off and a snag. Would you plus her or minus her.
Don't laugh as the worse minus ever given me at a tree was one similar to the picture.
Two oak trees about the size of the ones in the picture were touching at ground level but then there was a separation of a few inches at the bottom and got wider as they went up. One of the trees bent over sharply and went to the right and was a broke of snag. The other one went on up and had a coon. My dog was standing on the one that was broken off.
I got misused on that tree. LOL Thats the problem with having dogs that split tree. Everyone finds a way to minus you. Dogs together and someone will find something in the tree that looks like a coon.
But a good Honey Bun at the end of the night, makes it all worth it.

We are so happy to see a coon with this junk we got that we don't sweat the small stuff you know what I mean Vern.

Bruce/Tar
Bruce, you took me down memory lane talking about sardines , beanie weenie, etc. I have ate my share back in the day and still yet to this day. Tar, I must confess, honeybuns are one of my favorites, especially drizzled in butter and heated in a microwave. Lol. Dave
