Performance Checks are in the Mail!

Performance checks were mailed out on Thursday, March 23rd!

A grand total of $292,414.72 is being paid out to owners and breeders this year.

Gross Point Value: $121.95

$121....that's not too had. I think this program is about where it needs to be. Hopefully, it will maintain this level in years ahead.

I wish you could pay a dog up that hadn't been nominated or paid up as a pup. I just sent papers in (on Tuesday) on a 3 year old that we just picked up. She's a nice little dog with exceptional breeding but hadn't been put in any hunts. She's lookin like a winner to me. It would be nice to be able to get a dog like that into the program IMO.

What does the NET value of a point come out to be? It seems like a considerable amount is kept out of the hunters pockets.....

Allen/UKC, one of my checks went to Owenton KY, a very nice man called and said my check came to his address, he is forwarding it to me. One came to my address and one to his address, not sure if there is anymore lost?

Sonny, 10% goes to the breeder and 10% goes to the sire owner. That translates to $97.56 per point for the dog owner. So, I guess in a 10 dog hunt, the winner would get $97, second would get $48, and third would get $22. More than ten dogs in the category would result in those payouts being higher. Less, lower.

I actually got 2 checks the other day, the pages stuck together and I didn't see 2nd one til yesterday.

$300 for 6 cast wins between 2 dogs. That's an average of $50 per cast win. Not too bad at all. We'll keep paying up our dogs.
