Light Poll

What does everybody think is the most important factor to consider when purchasing a new light

Posted by Scary Creek on 06-29-2014 01:53 PM:

I put these in factor when buying a light in this order : 1. Comfort ( meaning weight of light ) 2. Warranty 3. Brightness / beam ( halo ) 4. Customer service .

To me its all in the vendor reputation. If you select a vendor who is up to date in the light technology, the rest of the poll is already taken care of. you will get all the above when you select the right vendor.

You picked the light you wanted now what matters is the vendor reputation and how they stand by it. This is one of the reasons I like Boss Lights and http://conkeysoutdoors.com

Do you think comfort has more to do with weight, balance or fit

I didnt vote because all of the choices should factor in your decision...but after QUALITY!

I think weight , and Iam basing this off modern cap lights. . To me , just my opinion , but bout all cap lights are bout the same balance and fit my head the same , but weight seems to me to be the big factor in them . I tried bout all of them and owned several as well . Now belt lights it's pretty much cut n dry on them their all bout same just depends on how you wear your head piece around your neck or on a bump cap

I consider everything you mentioned, and that's why I use a Boss light with Triple threat head. Above everything I want to deal with a stand up vendor and Bruce is that!
