trying to digg up some info

me and my dad was setting around this morning talking hounds and breeders my dad was talking about a man that lived down in Mississippi his last name was Frazer and he mentioned a dog his name was Cajun switch das anybody any stock of hounds out of Frazer stock are Cajun switch this was probly 40 years ago let me know if you have any info

Arnold Frazier was from north Louisiana
hunted mostly Vaughn and Jim Bowlin bred dogs I think

Honest John Mott owned the Switch dog
he was from Louisiana as well

The GrNiteCh Sam dog of Bill Brotherton's went back to Switch. Can't think of any others right off the top of my head. Those old dogs have been gone a LONG time.

I hunted with Bill Brotherton a lot when I was younger. Bills been gone for a couple years now. Most of his dogs went back to Switch. He had 3 dogs out of Keiths Blue Stella and Switch. 2 grand nites and a nite champ I believe. I hunted with the Nite champ quite a bit and she was a good one. Ive still got some of Bills blood around here. I don't think you can find much of it these days.

do you have any pictures of them old hounds I like looking at them old hounds my opinion the hounds has changed a bunch over the years

Posted by hat creek mac on 03-04-2014 02:30 AM:

the old Sam dog that Bill had was as stylish as anything today....plenty of bone, good head and ears, but put together right. He won a lot of shows back then and would today as well.

I never got to hunt with Sam. He got shot up north of here a couple years before I started hunting. I hunted with a nite ch littermate of his that is responsible for me getting hooked on this sport. My first dog was a grandson of Sams. I don't have any pics of these dogs. Boy I wish I did. Bill had some real nice dogs when I started hunting.
