A club has the right to refuse an entry from anyone they would not participating at their hunts, A good club needs strong members who will stand up and tell the constant trouble making handlers and their mean dog to not bother coming over! also need plenty of good guides and hunting spots close to the clubhouse, no one likes to drive a couple hours to a hunt and have to drive another hour to the woods after they draw out.
Good guides/ Good hunting.
A Must is Good People, Good Guides, and Good hunting. Lets face it if you go to a club and not a person even says hi to you chances are your going to feel out of place. That's why when I go to our local club I make it a point to all ways say hi and greet the new faces that are there for the show or hunt. When you feel welcome at a club the chances are better that you'll enjoy your hunt more and will return to that club for other events. JMO

1. Honest, ethical club management.
2. Accurate hunt reports getting sent in to UKC in a timely manner
3.If the club charges a normal "non poor boy" entry fee, then they should be providing some kind of award. Trophy, dog food, etc. There's nothing like paying a $20 entry fee, getting a well deserved win, and then getting nothing but a yellow slip for it. That's "fraud" as far as I'm concerned and a club should be disciplined for it.
4. A club that is willing and able to bar someone or refuse an entry. In this day and age, there should be someone barred from every good club.
5. Club members that support the club by providing reasonably close, quality guiding and judging.

friendly people and honest casts.
Honesty kept me going to one clubs events for 8 years... Then new people took over it
