Dog Pimps!!!!!!!!!!!
Another post got me to wondering, how many of you have met some of the so called top coon hunters/promoters/breeders and found out they were really just dog pimps? You know, they only want to talk to you if you want to breed to their dog, hate you if you are their competition, etc.
I mean those that don't really seem to care about the sport, the breed they represent, or anything else for that matter, just getting the dollar from your pocket.
Also, Have you ever hunted with a highly advertised dog and found out it was as worthless as a poodle and the guy was just a dog pimp?
Just curious.

Thats kinda harsh, Isnt it?
I have hunted with some well known dogs that really werent very impressive, but the more dogs you see the more you realise all dogs are just dogs, some just have better moments than others...
Josh,
I added some clarification to what I meant.

Dog Pimps
Yes I've met one ! The bad thing is that they are the ones that most people see and judge our sport
didn't vote
I must say that I have met far more reputible breeders and all around honest and trustworthy people than what you would like for us to vote on. If you will add another category to the poll, I would vote.

'bout a stupid poll....
There are dog pimps out there, but I think it is hard to judge a dog on one night.
Too bad...
We all arent smart as you!!!
Glad you have more important things to worry about in this world than dog pimps!!!
a dog will make a liar out of a guy purty quick!!!
DOG PIMPS WOULD NOT BE SO BAD IF THEY DID NOT DEGRADE EVREY BODY ELES DOGS
some may have missed my point.
My point was not the dog itself. Anybody knows a dog is a dog and one cannot make it more than it is.
I was referring to the ringling brothers/barnum and bailey circus atmoshere that some breeders seem to put in their ads and the mistique about the dog they have. when hunt with them the dog is average at best and the "promoter" goes back after the hunt and acts like his dog burned up the woods even though he was average.
It just seems that some are in this for the wrong reason, and usually fall by the wayside after a few years.
I see that some actually voted their conscience and said they fell under this category. Acceptance is the first step to recovery!
