conditional entry

I just got a young dog that just had puppy papers. I have sent off the papers, does anyone know if I can enter him in a hunt under a conditional entry?

no not until the pup papers have been sent. Once the dog has a registered number then you can.

the registration number would have been on your puppy papers and you could use it along with your info and the name you gave your dog to enter conditionally this is what conditional entry is for

I wasn't sure how that worked. I got all the information off of the puppy papers , I think I will try my luck at a hunt saturday night. thanks for the info

so is the ukc number on the puppy papers not the same number the dog will have on the permanent papers?

Sorry I was taking it the pups papers had been processed but just didnt have them back yet in which case as I understand it he could enter the dog with a conditional entry
as far as I know the number on the puppy papers is the dogs ukc number
please correct me if I am wrong
