Lost the best dog of my life

My dog Tallulah wasn't even 2 but I don't think I'll ever have a better friend in the world. She got sick early this week. It wasn't until after her death that we found out that she had cardiomyopathy. She died in my arms while rushing her into the emergency vet. She was gasping for breath and pouring drool from her mouth and nose. I've never been so devastated in my life. She was the most beautiful dog I've ever known.

There is no friend like a good dog. I know words do not help the loss but my heart goes out to you.

so sorry my brother

I too lost one of the best hounds I ever been in woods with (mine or anyones) he was that " one of the rare ones". I'm a hard to please man but he did. 90 percent of time anyway. He treed coons all the way up till death and came as a major shock to me even tho he was old because his body looked to be in excellent shape but of course he wasn't. Anyway we spent a many a nites together just me and him. I thank God for the time he gave us!!! His name was Gld Ch.Gr NT CH TRIPLE X PROWLER. He is now gone but will never be forgotten. I will be praying for you. Losing one you love is tuff. No words I say can mak it better but you will be in my prayers. Thanks for reading James "Chris" Johnson

Harrisburg. I've been living in Ga for about 20 years but we still have a cabin the tuscarora forest in Perry County. I assume that's where you live? Our camp is off of laurel run rd.

Killed my first deer ever with a flintlock muzzleloader on Bower Mtn. Our camp has about 8 regular hunters. I try and get back for the rifle opener every other year or so.

it is so heart breaking to watch helplessly as you innocent dog, the dog that has always counted on you to call the shots, suffers and dies. i've been there and my heart still aches evertime i think about her.
