training for bench

I am new to showing and have purchased three amazing dogs with great pedigrees that have superb confirmation. I very much want to begin showing these three dogs. Can anyone out there help with how to train these young pups in bench? also does anyone know how I go about joining the Beagle club of America or where shows might be coming this year? I looked into joining but the registration says I have to have a sponsor? I don't know anyone in the club soooo... not sure what to do.
any help woul dbe greatly appreciated.

Dont think I have heard of the beagle club of america. You can check on upcoming events for UKC shows. Good luck.

The Beagle Club Of America is the national AKC club. If you would like info on show training give me a call. Need to know how old your dogs are... 330 323 9649 Dan M

I know this is not a beagle, but this is a general idea.

Maybe this will help

Just click on the Word Doc to download
You Do not have to be a member of the NBC to Show your hound just find a listing of the shows and Go I recommend UKC conformation shows to all newcomers that are truly interested in exhibiting their hounds very helpful people and not as Formal as AKC
If there is a Local All breed club in your area check into if they have handling classes or not...

Welcome

Hey Cyndi!

Welcome! Yes you do have some amazing Dogs!
TC is a good resource, He won't steer you wrong!
The key is to go to a Conformation Show and see how it works.
Show up early and hang around and ask for tips from the Judges, Usually the UKC judges are more than helpful!
You want to get your dog to work on the lead and stack. Make it fun with lots of encouragement. Just a few minutes a day goes along way.
Your young pups start getting them to Stack right away. Then work on the lead till they do it willingly. Then jump in!
Remember the judge will be judging the conformation of your dog, not You!
With good bloodlines your already halfway there!
