I must be nuts

The boy talked me into going for a drop tonight. 1st let me tell you that we have had 60 inches of snow this year and a couple of different times 40+ mile winds. So we load up the dogs drive to our spot with the temp at 0 degrees. took me about 150 yards to remember why i hate snow. We cut the dogs they look at us like were crazy they peel outta there get struck about 150 yards I am praying get treed close but Noooooo they gotta go half way thru the section get treed with the meat ( thats a plus). I tell the boy thats enough after several breaks and oxygen from being fat and outta shape finally make it back to the truck. A good hunt for the weather.

Snow

Been heck of a winter. Sounds like you had a good hunt. I noticed your signature has " a screw up on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part" Do you work in EMS? Us older guys have a saying " it's not my emergency" we use that to calm the youngsters down on the way to calls. Lately I've noticed they're all youngsters lol.

Knowing you and knowing Jacob, I'd bet you didn't walk all of a 150 yards before you decided to head back to the truck and let Jake go get the dog.

I'm itching to go and am confident we could tree a couple on the outside, but I'm afraid I'll get more exercise that I want to (not that I don't need it).

I'm waiting on a light I ordered over 2 weeks ago and that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

Ha Jack don't worry Ol Casey called me Tuesday night and wanted to go hunting! I took him in my woods you ever seen a guy sweat in 0 degrees lolol. Then after the first tree he was ready to go home as we were walking to the truck I unleased all the dogs and man was he mad lolol. It was a good hunt I didn't have to call 911 thank god but laugh man it was funny. I wanted to hunt bad ol cabin fever got to me. I even wanted to go again but he took the collors off. lolol I bet I see you guys Sat. night Real Men hunt in the snow!

went out again tonight 1st dump 2 way split 2 coon seen. 2nd dump treed in a den coon seen will put pics on tomorrow. Bryan J. we don't have the dog anymore.
