Passing of Donald Huie

It is with Great Sadness that i anounce the passing of a great friend , My Friend Donald Huie Passed away yesterday afternoon in a local Hospital after suffering heart failure. I have had the pleasure of Being with Don on many hunts, and enjoyed his friendship and knowledge about Coon hounds and hounds in General, Don expected no less from his hounds than he gave his self and as well as his friends . he was in my opinion a true breeder of hounds in that he was always trieing to produce a certain type of hound and a certain trait in them. Durability brains and desire to persue game.

Good bye, Gray Fox You will be truly Missed !!

Don

Thanks Heather, Don was one of a kind, and a rare Breed to say the least, He loved to hear a hound trail a coon and do it right. he always told me RaY, youve Got to get the coon to the tree before you can tree him, that iv learned through the years is so very true. The * Gray fox * as he was better known in the day will never be forgotten in NW Fla and south Alabama as long as there is a love for hearing a good chase and tree. i have many storys of being in the woods with my friend. all night adventures, from sundown to sun up so many times

Don Huie's Funeral Services

Don Huie left a legacy behind in his children. To have known Mr Huie just a short while and then hear his children and Ray deliver his eulogy was on the mark. Ray that was one of the best services I have attended. Everything that was said very accurate.
Take care, Steve

Yes sir I called and told Jim and Shelia that I thought Mr Huie would have been satisfied that all of ya'll took the time to discuss his life and share it like ya'll did.

By the way Paul Walston said you was a good singer.
