I have been hunting during the day time for the last year. Started out trying to go out and tree some squirles but ended up always getting a coon or two treed. So now I go a couple times during each week during the day. Tree coons probable 80 % of the hunts. But FYI when it is as cold as it is now, they aint running much day or night here. Guy

........used to hunt the big Altamaha River Swamp in South Georgia........................you'd tree as many coons during the day, in the winter, as you would at night...............could hunt 24-7 if ya could stand it...........

We have been daytime hunting 8:00 in the morning and have been treeing coons. At night we have been treeing a few but mostly dens.I like daytime hunting because it is a little warmer and the coons seem to be moving after daylight.we have been hunting in management areasat daytime.

Look @ ur Dec Bloodlines pg 28. I do it all the time and year round its a blast, run and catch about anytime of the day. The onething I can say is you get to see everything your dog does that you don't see @ night. Might just suprise you. Good luck.

My hog dogs will tree at least a dozen coons a year during the day....at any and all times of the day......but....i will say that usually the coons we tree in the day are in the bottoms...Usually in flooded timber/swamps or close to them. I can't remember treeing any in the hills/big timber.

I haven't tried it this time of year. I do go out just before daylight a lot during the warmer months. By the time I get to the dog it is usually daylight. Treed a lot of coon that way. Lots easier looking for the coon too.
