Camera

Well my camera broke the other nite and i'm looking into getting a new one, any suggestions? My main concerns is that it takes good pics at nite and good sound in videos.

I would recomend the Nikon L18. I recently got one and think it does a great job of taking pictures at night. It has a setting just for night or poor lighting. It also does video well, but you have to have your light on high for it to turn out. Also very easy to up load pictures and video to your computer. I think I paid like $120 at newegg.com. There was some other goodies I got with it too.

I drowned mine wading a creek Saturday night, It was only in the water a few seconds before I realized it was in my pocket, but so far it still ain't working. I'm also curious to see what everybody says, I need something small and cheap that takes good pictures too.

The one I carry with me all the time is a Sony DSC H5. They have since upgraded that camera to a H9 or higher.

Clyde let it dry our for a few days and then try it again. I drown one of mine one night after a few days it worked just fine. Where most people go wrong when the soak one is turning it one as soon as they see its wet, DON"T do that.

Autumn, as you know, we love our camera! We have a Canon PowerShot A590 IS. It has 4X Optical Zoom and is 8 Mega Pixels. It takes really nice night & day time pics as well as decent quality for videos. There are several convenient settings on it and we are really pleased with ours. I think you can get it at Wal Mart for somewheres around $160....Ours goes hunting with us every night and to all the dogs events/vacations....

Autumn, you've seen a lot of our nighttime/hunting pics, they are really good quality with that camera....

Some favorite recent daytime pics with it.....

I will tell you one not to get, the casio Exilim. I hate that **** camera. Takes good pictures up close but dont even try and stand more than 10 feet away. I have tryed to take pictures of countless coon and have never had a single one turn out. Only plus is you can put it in your pocket and never know its there.

Jill/Danielle I've seen many of times what both your cameras take and like what i've seen.
I liked both my HP camera but after having lense problems with both of em i'm ready for a change, leaning toward a Canon but probally not going to get one right away, I can still take pics with mine so i'll prob have to do for awhile.
