Hi Standard
I can get Hi Standard for 17.00 to 18.00 a 50 pound bag ( 4 different levels of nutrition) form the local feed supplier if I buy 20 bags at a time. I use 4-5 bags a month so the amount of bags does not scare me TOO much.. I am kinda tired of the Purina thing even though I have had good luck with it. I do have one dog that needs the Hi Pro to keep fit, now they are not making it anymore. Please give me the pros and cons of what you have noticed with Hi Standard befor I make a switch. Thanks: Ron

hey ron if your switching from purina hi pro to hi standard you will like the hi srandard its better then hi pro and you willfeed less of it i have feed hi standard for about 5 yrs. and like it i also feed purina pro plan its the only thing better then hi standard or ultra advantage the both are good feed i feed them both to my hunting dogs and my show dog gets pro plan performance it puts better muscle tone and better hair coat . but if your only hunting the hi srandard will keep your dog in good shape youll like it i feed the 24/ 20 most the time and like it good luck on your switching your feed.. steve randolph

Hi Standard:
Here are the pros for me.
#1.I can get it fairly close
#2 it is reasonable
#3 The dogs look fine.
#4 The waste is comperable with every other food I have fed
Other than that who cares..

I've been feeding Hi-Standard,
for about 7-8 years now. In the mornings I mix one can of canned dog feed & a little warm water in it, between 4 dogs. In the afternoon they get plain dry feed. They will eat it dry just fine.
I just got back from picking up 2 bags of it, one purple bag (26 % protein & 18 % fat) & one orange bag (24 % protein & 20 % fat). With tax included it cost me a little over 49.00 dollars, for the two 50 lb. bags. I think it is as good as you can get, for the money.

John, I dont know where you live, but I know guys that live in southern IL that are paying like $17 a sack for the 26-18.
joesph, I know,
but they are buying it by the ton, or more.
I used to get it out of Wades (the owner of Hi- Standard) store for 16-17.00 dollars a bag for the purple bag, but I have to get it at a feed store now.

Just a great dog food, currently feeding beagles, coon hounds and fox hounds. Stool volume is very low and my dogs look great, plenty of stamina................just a great feed
Thanks for your responce! I will start buying it next month. At 17 and 18.00 $ a bag I feel that is a good deal. For those of you in the area, Hanoverton Feed and Supply have it. Thanks: Ron
HI STANDARD

I have a dog that will eat absolutely anything and do well on it. But he wouldn't touch the hi-standard.
