several lost roofs around southern ky. But I myself got through good and so did my hounds. I bet after that ice storm though up northern kentucky the woods are demolished. Dunno I will find out tonight. Might be tree top hedouble.

I figured something was going to happen last night, it was almost 60 degrees I knew something was going to happen to keep us out of the woods!!

We just had one of the worst Ice Storms in our history & with 60 mile an hour gust yesterday it's gonna be bad. Before the wind I went and looked at the timber and I've never seen anything like it. There are limbs & tree tops are every where, you can't walk 30 feet in a straight line anywhere in the woods. I can only imagine what it will look like now but I'll find out tonight. They said we would loose 30% of our trees because they had lost over 50% of their limbs. I was without electricity for 12 days and now it's off again. This generator is killing me on gas.

I went to owen county the other night and you couldnt drive 20 foot without seeing where they had sawed cedar trees out of the road. Got in the woods it was pretty bad. Then, this wind. Anything it almost broke down is probably broke down now. It will effect hunting for a long time.

My grand parents lost a lot of shingles on their roof, and a good friend of mine lost a side shed off his barn.

I feel for you guys who are fighting all the broken timber but you watch in the next few years your coon, turkey and deer populations are going to boom. Down timber is hard to walk through and promotes undergrowth, all of which helps out the number of game animals. The bigger thing to watch is if it sets those forests up for dry summer wild fires. You all have already had some droughts down there.
