A veteran is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America for an amount of 'up to and including my life.'

That is Honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.

that REE..dical....lous

Joe Mauer who catches for the Twins had about the same thing happen to him when he was a kid. I think it was he hit it to hard or some such nonsense. Oh well, sometimes all an athlete needs is to be ticked off to really get motivated. Keep that kids name written down and look for it in ten or twelve years. Hopefully he and his folks and coaches keep that rubber arm from getting ripped out. My 12 year old had a fun summer playing ball but we had a few teams with pitchers that could toss the ball. Nothing to cry about swinging at a ball that you can't hit. Better than standing there complaining that he pitches to good. That's how the game works. Those kids can't pitch every game and every inning. How can you learn to be a winner without learning to take your losses also? Must be some lawyers for parents, worried that their little jimmies might feel bad if they lose.

it is a shame they won't let the kid pitch but with his talent he should be playing in a more advanced league so he could hone his skills not just show off. baseball in our area is a very big sport. there would be coaches lining up to get this youngster.

Glad folks don't act that way around here. My 8 year old throws 35mph fastballs and he's not the fastest pitcher in his age bracket.

Sounds like a bunch of sore losers to me!!!!!

when I was a kid it seemed like every league had a kid like this.

But if my parents would have tried to get him thrown out of the league I would have been embarrassed to death

I saw the story earlier this week.

Seemed the kid's pitching wasn't a problem until he turned down an invitation to play on the defending champs teams whose sponsor happens to be on the little league board.

I think politics more than anything play a role in this.

What kills me is they are now claiming they have issues with this ONE kid but yet want to disband the whole team and move the players around the league to other teams.

Guess when a team has a winning record, they have to figure away to eliminate the competiton.

Seems nothing is immune from politics anymore.

I think the whinning parents should maybe look into competitive chess for their kids ..

This is becoming the norm in sports and schools these days. The wussification of America. The NEA and the other Liberal teachers unions and Democrats want to see individualism suppressed and done away with. they want everyone to be the same, have the same, do the same, achieve the same, etc, etc.

I can remember being on a little league team in the early 60's and not getting a trophy because we didnt finish in the top 5 in the league.

That would never fly today.

Why am I not surprised? Only wipe could blame liberals for this kid throwing a 40mph fast ball....

I saw this earlier also on ESPN I think it was. I agree with what the commentator's said. Sign this young man up with the minor leauge lol...
