just lookin to beef up the traction on the bottom of my boots, the ice layer on top of the snow is making it a little tricky going up and down the hills. heck the dogs are having a hard time too, but they seem to keep upright better than me...

LOL...

....I weigh 105 and have to lead 3 hounds together in and out to the pen. THeir total weight is 240 lbs... I need cleats to not get killed.....
I am Pretty sure mine came from a farm supply catalog and they were cheaper than from a mountain climbing type catalog.
Glad you made this post... we are a sheet of ice and I need to get them on my boots! This aftn was interesting....

By the way... do NOT walk into the house with them on! Especially if you are remodelling and have brand new floors! Been there....done that!

HappyHunting! Heather

I like the ones with chains crossed.

My favorite technique is to take some old workboots and install some screw in ATV tire studs. Once the holes are started I take them back out and grind the screw points down before putting them back in. (to save your feet) You can't tell they are there weight wise but you get instant traction on ice.

The boots when done are like roller skates on cement. They are total destruction to a nice floor and to snowshoes.......
