Something To Think About

Some very good dogs are competing at the grand masters right now only scoring 200,250, 300 plus.. next weekend there will be scores of 1,000 and even 1500 plus. Your thoughts??

Lots of variables in that equation, the National Grand Championship will cover a much larger area of hunting ground than what the Grand Master's is covering tonight (and last night).

You only have to win your cast to advance in GM. Handlers play a lot of defence. In AO Nationals you have to score 500 plus to get in Top 16. Also there are 50 casts hunting 2 hrs vs 16 casts hunting 90 min. You are trying to compare apple's to oranges.

Here is the deal make it a win your cast event and move on it is straight up! You put emphasis on score let the games begin!!

I have hunted all over this country and in the best coon country known to man kind and have scored over a 1000 twice and both times hunted alone for at least 30 minutes!


Not saying it ain’t possible but no way 10 scores in a weekend come in over 1000 plus points just don’t happen I don’t care where you are!

Sometimes you get that ol Indiana summertime feed track and sometimes you don't.....hahahah

Most I have ever scored in my life was 775+ and that was with 3 other good dogs breathing down my neck I wished one or two of them would have been deep and alone to get them off me I was a nervous wreck lol.




Tar

Look at the ones that bring in those scores, OUTLAWS. They aren't respectable hunters, the same ones that are barred in the other registries. When you have to have a big score to advance, they will create one.
