Good luck men!! Been doing this for over thirty years and its still a rush when Nov 8th rolls around. One thing that makes tonight more special is that my youngest stepson will be able to make a couple drops with me. Nov 30th last year he was diagnosed with leukemia so after a bone marrow transplant and along stay at Riley hospital in Indianapolis he's back home and doing good.

Are you guys going into the deep freeze with us tomorrow?

I'll second Good Luck Hoosiers.

Said like 20's and 30's for us here.

U to Sam. 20's and 30's sounds perfect to me. I absolutely love this time of year. Something bout cold November night listening to a good race still gives me goosebumps n getting to share it with my girls makes it even better. Glad it stepson is pulling through lonesome dog. Enjoy yourselves tonight.

Well.....

Well u I took kids n wife to what I thought was gonna b a sure thing first drop so we could get the kids home at decent hour. Wrong! Cut dogs they hit the river and make a 800 yard loop headed for the road and end up in an abandoned trailer park. Jump in the truck head down there to gather them up. My wife and 5 year old stay at the truck while me n the oldest get em leashed up. Some how the little one shut my wifes hand in the door . I walk back to a bunch of cussing and crying. Couldn't help but laugh. What a fiasko! Made another dump . Dogs bushwacked one . My 11 year old got to shoot out her first coon ever. All in all turned out to be a memorable night.
