thanks folks for congrats but there were bunches of dogs w/one cast win and that was it. i was one of them.
i went there to try and make the final 4 and did not succeed again so i came back again not a winner but maybe someday somewhere i can be there. like in the world hunt there is only one world champion and so there is only one national champion, everybody else is just there......high scoring dogs of breed, yes each breed has one of those but the real brass ring just seems to be out of reach. like so many others who try and and fail i also fall into that category but us little guys keep plugging along and trying. thanks again though!
and when u get a breed award just for showing up cause u r the only dog of your breed there i do not consider any sort of win so really nothing there to celebrate. others might but as for me no i am not going to. i did get a cast win though so that and a $1.99 i can get a cup of coffee... maybe!...lol
all in all i had a good time though and UKC put on a nice nationals and maybe will be back again someday.

I would think that $500 check would buy a lot of coffee. But if you don't think that you deserve it, you can send it to me and I will put it to good use.

Did not say I did not deserve it or not accept it but just wish there was more of a Plott representation there. Bunches of them in the show but just wanted more in the hunt. Just meant that w/o others there the award did not mean as much to me as some others would blow and go over it.
Also when I posted I was still upset over the Smokey IV dog that got run over in my cast and it was shortly after that when I got the award. It happens we all know but esp when it was a young fella involved and no matter how much u say u r sorry for it u know it will not do any good.
