Best Antibiotic

I found a dog today that had the collar cut into his neck. It was cut into the skin and looks like it is festered. I'm not going to give the dog back to the owner. The "O" ring of the collar was actually embedded into the skin of the dog. We had to take bolt cutters and cut the "O" ring before the collar would come off. There is no excuse for the owner letting that collar get that tight. The dog is a beautiful solid black plott or leapard hound with extra long ears. We put antibiotic cream on the wound. Is there anything else I can do?? Some people should have their right to own animals taken away!!!! Any help with this will be greatly appreciated. One more thing. The Sheriff 's office is now involved and this person WILL be prosecuted.😃😃

Go to store and get block camfher grind it up in a powder dissolve it in a bottle of alcohol put it on wound twice a day should heel nicely

i would put some proxcide on it to kill the infection go to tractor supply and get tri care it's good stuff i had a horse run into a steel fence post left a heck of a hole in her neck it cured her you couldn't tell she ever jab herself but you may be better off to take the dog to the vet

Colliodal Silver ! It is the absolute best at preventing infection (also treats and cures virus , bacterias , fungus of nearly every kind) and allowing healing you can get it at your vets office or at a local pharmacy .

Cheap at any vets and is a great antibiotic for skin wounds or infections. 10 day treatment will cost you no more than 12 dollars. Sometimes you can rely on other of the wall stuff but this will take care of it quick! JMO!!

Cephalexin is a great oral antibiotic that treats many bacterial infections . I will not hurt to give it along with a topical treatment . Colliodal Silver is not an off the wall thing there is a reason that every burn unit in country uses it to prevent infection on skin wounds - it works better and kills and prevents nearly every form of virus , bacteria and fungus known to man . Where most antibiotics treat about 15 strains of bacteria and dont even touch virus Colliodal Silver works on 600+ it has been used for centuries , during the great plagues only the wealthy could afford it and they survived . It is not an expensive product now , requires no prescription can be purchased from you vets office or your local drug store . Many farmers or horse people on here probably have a bottle in their medicine arsenal .
From the sound of the wound on this dogs neck , it needs a topical treatment on wound and what I recommended would be very beneficial in preventing infection in it and encouraging healing(much more than peroxide or neosporin ever would) Spray area thoroughly atleast 2x a day . Follow directions for storage unless in amber bottle Colliodal Silver needs to be stored in the dark .
For those of you who have never heard if it do little google research .

Blue Lotion in the spray can will do wonders. Can get it at a farm store for $7.00 or $8.00. As long as I own a hunting dog I will always keep a can or two of Blue Lotion around. Excellent stuff.

your talking about blue kote i use it on horses it is a good med
