Garmin question

Whats the best batteries to use in the tracking unit I can't seem to keep batteries in it

Posted by clinewalkers on 11-17-2014 01:45 AM:

Batteries

I've always used Duracell or energizer but I like Duracell the best. Some people use the rechargeable batteries but they won't last as long as a reg battery. I would rather buy a pack of reg batteries and them last for a while than go through two sets of rechargeables in one night but it's just whatever ya like I guess. That's just my opinion

I use energizer rechargeables and carry some regular batteries with me in case they die. Which they usually do when I'm usin the garmin all day bear huntin. But the rechargeables save you money bcuz you're not havin to buy batteries all the time.

rechargeables are the only way to go. i keep 2 sets with me... 1 set in the handheld 1 set in my pocket. Rarely if ever have to change them during a hunt. No idea how many cycles you can get out of a set but I get 3 or 4 years out of them.

Rechargeables are the way to go! I will get 3 nights of hunting before I change them

I have tried rechargeable and regular batteries and neither last just a couple hours

I use the energizer rechargeable ones, I change out after 3 nights but I still show over half a charge then! At first they didn't last until I remembered to change the battery setting

Somethin must've been wrong with your batteries. I use energizer rechargeables and can bear hunt at least an 8 hour day and they last the whole time. Now that's five or take an hour or 2 depending on how much tracking I have to do, but they usually do pretty good for me.

batteries

if you use that light on your 220 or 320. it will drain batteries quick. i use my hunting light to look at it and the rechargeable batteries last all night.

rechargable

If you use rechargeable batteries ,be sure to set your garmin to using them or they won't last. If reset ,I get two to three nights.
