Matt, a cast win both nights will get you in. A cast win one night MIGHT get you in, approx 2/3rds of the single cast winners get in, the others don't. My only experience has been with zone 2, one of the 2 bigger zones. In the past at zone 2, you needed 450-500 to be safe with a single cast win. You MUST complete the hunt both nights to advance to the finals. Dogs scratched or withdrawn either night are done.
Hope this helps.

Jim

I was wondering if you can tell me if this makes sense? I seen a dog from zone 5 have a cast win Friday and plus points Saturday get beat by dogs that had a cast win Saturday and zero/ minus points Friday.

I didn't look at your example but I would guess that the dog that got in had a higher cast win score.
For example 500+ cast win and 200-lost the next night beats 300+cast win and 500+lost the next night.

Yes,the dog that got in had I belive 25 more points in the cast win. I was just thinking that a cast win and plus points would beat no points and minus.

how do they do tie breakers?

example zone 6 madison..... last dog in to finals had 0 fri and 350+CW sat..... dog that missed cut had 350+CW fri and 225+ sat??????? this just makes no sense to me it must only us the cast win night for each dog to do tie breaker seems not right just my opinion...

In that case, the 350 CW tied would be broken like any typical hunt by least minus, etc.

oh ok i figured thats what they done... thanks... it does look unfair on paper...it seems that the other night would have more significants... but considering diff dogs on cast and other things its pretty fair
